After the relaxing day at Mantua yesterday, just had to go back to WB this morning for more punishment [:/]
Morning started out pretty nice, at about 0630, air temp was 68, water temp was 77. Was just enough breeze to keep the bugs from getting too bad. BUT, there has been a full moon last couple nights, and it was still up when I launched this morning.

The water was pretty empty most the morning. Empty of power squadron boaters, and at least for me, empty of anything that wanted to try the fare I was offering.

I got one small Wiper to try out a worm offering, but about 3 feet from the boat he decided, "no thanks" and spit it back at me. Trolled west to the south west corner, nada. Dropped anchor out in the open space between the south west corner of the dike, and the south east edge of the island, in about 7-8 feet of 81 degree water. Tossed out 2 lines with worms on the bottom, put my shade top up, kicked back and had a gentle rocking snooze. About 1030 ish one rod drag started singing. Got it locked down and was presented with one of the WB Cats that look like they were all mass produced somewhere. Turned him loose.

Something ran away with my other line and put up qite a fight. Ran off in couple different directions, went to the bottom and under the boat. Tried to work him careful he was on a light rod with 4 lb. line. Had him up to the point I could see the swivel snap just above the weight lead, and SNAP ! Lind shot back at me like a rubber band. Hook leader broke.............[mad]. Don't know what it was, never saw it. Figure by the fight and the weight it was either a good sized Wiper, or a Carp.
About 1330 was getting hot, even less breeze, bugs were coming up, as well as the power squadron coming out for their Sunday afternoon recreation.
Decide time to head home. Got in my truck after tying to the dock and temp gage in my mirror was reading 103.
