I got the opportunity to take out a father n son the past couple of days for some Bass fishing in some extreme "HOT" weather. Now I know why I enjoy night fishing this time of year, a whole lot less "sweat". The fishing was the normal hot summer no current pattern, but still was able to catch some nice fish. There was not a lot of numbers but that can be very typical this time of year, but the quality was consistent. The fish we were able to catch came on Jigs from Choo Choo Lures and 10" Zoom worms. We mainly focused on river ledges with a very slow presentation of our lures, and just when you thought it might get a little boring there would be that very light "thump", then you forget about the boring part again. The fish are sluggish but there are some good quality fish on the deeper ledges that will bite when you relax and give them the chance. The Snagproof Frog tournament is just around the corner on August 9th. This is a fantastic tournament that is run by some very respectable and knowledgeable people from Snagproof and Goose Pond Bait and Tackle. If you have any questions or want more information go to Snagproof.com or contact Jamie Shay(256-599-0132). Have fun, Mike Carter
