Got out with mom today after work. She has to start back to school Monday and wanted to get in a quick crappie trip before then. We went to my favorite bluff spot and the fish were there, on the graph anyway. The fish were SUPER hard to catch tonight. We stuck with it, getting one here and there to commit. The fish were holding about 15 feet down over deeper water. We fished for 2.5 hours and boated 20 crappie with 8 or so keepers. I also got a really pretty 14" smallie, a spot and 4 bluegill.
Great evening on the water with mom, even with the slow bite. All fish came on 1/32 oz lead with chartuse bodies. Pretty sure the north wind in July is not a good time to be fishing for crappie, but it sure makes for some really nice weather.
