Since my boat is back at the factory getting a makeover, Tenncrappie had mercy on Dr Phil and me and took us fishing today. It was a beautiful day. Sunny skies, very little wind and good company. We struggled a little bit, but did managed to catch 14 fish of various species. We took 9 home to eat and the other 5 went back into the drink.

It was 3 white bass, (caught by yours truly), 2 largemouth bass (caught by Tenncrappie, and big fish of the day), 3 yellow bass, kept 2 and threw back one, and the rest were crappie and we all caught some crappie. Most of our fish came off off shore structure I also had two more fish that the net man sort of messed up on. I'm not telling who the net man was, but he has done that to me before. emoPoke emoBigSmile One was a bass and the other was a good sized crappie.

We caught our fish on various lures and colors, but bluegrass seemed to be the best color of the day. I'm guessing that most of the fish were 10 to 12 feet deep or right on top of the structure that we were fishing. They were on the edge of the drop off. Fishing was slow for us until TVA cranked up the current and then the fish went on a feeding spree. Lots of bait fish around and the fish were just following the bait around.

Even though I was wounded, I had to run the trolling motor and the big motor a lot. Double duty, but I'm not complaining because my boat isn't back from G3 yet. My back held up well today, and I didn't have to move around too much, so my legs were sort of okay. Just rubbery. emoBigSmile emoGeezer

Thanks Chris, for taking the Doc and me fishing today. It surely did feel good getting my line stretched today. emoDance
