I was determined to catch some topwater fish on this dang lake. Heath and I hit it Saturday morning and threw our arms out for an hour without a single bite in Greasy creek. We opted to find some different water and while running along I looked left and saw fish busting. We sped over, shut it down and before the boat came to rest, casted and both hooked up, white bass and a spotted bass. Over the next few hours we boated over 25 fish, including whites, spots, LM, and one yellow perch. We caught most of them in 35-40 FOW. One spot was over 3lbs, and all the whites were boat paddles, which I have not seen up there before.

Pop-R's and stick baits were the best, with a jigging spoon coming in second place. Lots and lots of fun chasing these fish, missing a bunch of bites, and loading the livewell.

Sunday morning I took my neighbor Elvis and we got there at daylight....and waited, and waited for the fish to do the same thing. It sucked,
I caught one white bass, and we only saw about 15 total busts scattered around. I couldn't even buy a bite going deep with the spoon like the day before. I have a love/hate relationship with this lake. LOL
