Had every intension of getting out at dawn, snooze bar killed that. Launched out at Soddy lake, and ran over to the 27 side. No wind, and the water was clear, saw the grass at five feet plus. Fished the laydowns and docks, just a couple of slicks. Fished the bluffs near Hixson Pike, caught one, about 2-2 1/2 near a dock. Pitched into the corner next to the dock and shore, and worked a 4.20 beaver back to the boat. The bass was in 20 FOW or so, and I was in 35 FOW. Worked dock and laydowns most of the afternoon. Headed out to the river and ran north. Worked the bank going downstream. and ran into a bunch of small fish. Cast a Ol' Monster,1/2 oz. sinker, 6/0 hook, toward the bank, 15 FOW and worked back to 30-32 FOW . Caught eight that were about 1 1/2 to 2 in about 20 FOW. They were near a dock, and in a place with a break in the current, nice ambush spot. Lost a couple where the worm balled up on the hook. No bragging fish, but entertaining action. Try again next week.
