Not asking for anyone's honey hole, but between below Swan falls dam, Celebration park and Map rock road, which would most likely be the better of the 3???
Thanks for any advice.

It depends if you have a boat. All three are good in my opinion. Good luck.

Hi Ron,
Are those 3 sections of the river safe for a 17ft Lund?

From Clelebration Park down to below Map Rock you should be ok in a 17 foot Lund. I have run that whole river in a 14 foot Gregor and a 12 foot Smoker Craft. Above Celebration (the section to Swan Falls) is the Graveyard, and it eats boats...

What do you mean it eats boats? Rocks taking out the motor?? I have floated that in inflatable pontoons and it looked like a lot of rocks and a few splashers.
I have never taken a large boat on any of the river over there so thanks for helping him. Ron

I use to take my gregor to the deep hole just down river from Swan falls dam, caught a few catfish there. No longer have a boat and have learned when you fish that hole from the road side its a tackle eater, there must be a wall of rocks underneath the water that catches your gear when you reel in.??

Gonna. Have to throw Lead. And, it might be called current.

Find a soft Eddy. Play it out.

Hope the fish does not do the same.

P.S

Throw what you want to lose.

Gear down from there.

there is a good video on mean chicken that was filmed when the flows were low around 4400 and you can see all the rocks it not bad if you know where the channel is but the current there is slow so you cant track the rocks they hide form you its best if your going above to go with some one who knows the river well and study there lines
