Picked up my boat from Dons Marina on the 17th of July, spent the night at Walmart and decided to fish Willard the next morning. Caught two nice wipers as well as dialed in the jackplate of the boat very happy morning.
Last time was at Willard had some fun so deciding to go back this weekend, only problem don't like the skeeter bite. I am wondering if anyone could give some suggestions where I can stay close by and get away from the marsh and skeeters? or am I back to walmart parking lot?

There's a campsite just east of the Flying J (north marina) and a KOA a mile or two north of there. Hard to say where you'd be able to get away from skeeters anywhere within a few miles of the marshes, though.

just looked on google earth looks like the KOA might be best bet. Thanks for response.

So - at the Walmart - did you go to the camping section and set up tents, sleeping bags? Then collect some foods to eat? Heard a story in the news about that... [crazy]
Willards a bad one for bugs. Screens, netting and bugspray.
Can't say what's "close by" for you without knowing where you're from. From Willard, there's also Pineview, Mantua, not too much farther Hyrum/Newton. But if you go south or east, there's lots more choices. Guess it depends on what you're after.
Nice Wiper. See any boils?
That was first time fishing Willard so didn't notice any boils hopeing this weekend we see some.
Walmart parking lot always a good spot to camp (they welcome it) but if start to get weather Home Depot tough sheds are great road trip spots. Just need a quick sleep spot Saturday night, will show up late and be out before sun rises.
The one wiper I caught was well worth a second trip would love to learn those scrappy fish.
