Hit the weber between rockport and echo last week. Water was runing a little high and off color. Started with streamers but had no hits. Switched to san jaun worms and hooked into a fatty brown around 20 in the same hole. Snapped him off on 4x after jumping twice and bolting for deep water. Landed a 14" brown and pumped his stomach, i was a little shocked by what i found, a bunch of leeches and sow bugs. Looks like they are eating well and theres a bunch of fattys in there this year. My friend was spin fishing and hooked into a few nice 18" browns.

Nice i love the weeb, i hit it on Sunday and did fair. The water level was high, fast, and off colored so you had to work to get a good drift.
sanjuans are doing well and i have been doing great with olive scuds in a few variety's as well as size 22 RW's.
I went and took a drive to check on the water level and clarity on the upper section above RP in the campground, i was surprised to see that was very high and dirty too.
fished it for about an hour and caught a few average whitefish and lost one good fish i never saw.[probably a bigger whitey]. As soon as the water levels can get back to a normal flow here it should get even better, probably a few weeks.
Glad you hooked into some good ones
