Hit the Clearwater for the first steelhead trip of the season. We were fishing shrimp under a bobber in the confluence area. Managed to land a nice wild A-run steelhead early in the morning. My father and I had several more takedowns and hookups but nothing made it to the boat besides that first one.
Nevertheless, it's time to start getting serious about getting steelhead on the lower Clearwater as numbers over LWG look to be picking up.

Fished the Clearwater again last Saturday and managed to get another A-run wild steelhead. My son had one on as well but lost it. Getting pumped watching the steelhead and salmon counts climb over LWG!!! Should be a good weekend.
