I was hoping all this rain would have helped in filling up Chesterfield. But as I pulled in at first light and looked down the ramp my worst fears were realized. Hardly any water, the lowest I have seen it in years. We had to unhook the trailer and unload it by hand, it looked like not very many were making the effort. I hooked my first fish about 10:00 letting loose a 3.5oz thinking the fishing was going to be wide open, I didn't touch another fish till late in the afternoon. By the time we loaded up around 7:00 p.m. we had landed 20 fish. I hooked a couple big ones but never got one in the net. Ended up settling for a few good eaters though. My buddy caught this nice 5lb. rainbow, it was a new best for him I am sure you can tell from the
. All in all a beautiful day. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea of what the lake looks like. By the way the deepest spot I found in the entire lake was 12 feet. Pretty scarey!
