The Jack was turned on today!!! I had a trip today with a couple of gentlemen from Tn. that wanted to learn a little about Nickajack Lake and some productive Fall patterns. Their first trip on the lake was a great one, well anytime the fish cooperate and feed it can make for a great trip on any lake. We mainly stayed on deep grass lines most of the day swimming Choo Choo Lures jigs in 6-8 ft. of water. We had some very good quality fish through most of the day, and after staying with this pattern for a few hours we decided to go do some "Froggin" on some of the thicker matted areas of grass. With the cold front moving in and the cloudy skies the Snag Proof Frog bite was a little slow unlike the jig bite, but at least these guys got to see some nice fish blow up and get their hearts racing. The storms had beat most of the mat's down and most of the muck was gone, but when you did find the areas that had the muck on top of the grass there was usually some nice fish waiting for a Frog to pass over to explode on. If your looking for a new rod for "Froggin", or any other type of fishing I strongly suggest trying a "Hammer Rod". These rods are very light, strong, and extremely sensitive, and they have any size and strength for your Bass fishing needs from Froggin, Flippin, Cranking, and Jig, to finess. Check them out and try one, you won't be dissapointed. Have fun, Mike Carter
