I started out dead beat on a grass bite. I have been trying to force a Matted grass bite that has been hit or miss for the past 3 weeks. Something about the wind today made every single mat die. It was strange. Towards the end of the trip I finally smarted up and decided to fish some grass edges with a buzzbait, whammo, I had a nice one in the boat after about 10 minutes! Shortly after I had hooked up with a bucketmouth with head and tail syndrome. Oh well. Today seemed to be a very tough day for alot of anglers. I considered myself blessed for the two The Good Lord blessed me with. Fish are still scattered, but should be on the move within the next few weeks depending on weather patterns. Needless to say, I'm giddy about the frog bite to come
