Started the day with the bow light not working. Cracked base, so one of the pins pushed out when I put the light in.. Easy fix, and had to replace a fuse. Got to our first slough, by Sequoyah, and had our first bass by 7:15. Very nice 14&quot;er. Had the second short fish, bass, no more than 20 minutes later. Watch several boils, and could see pods of minnows for the next hour or so. Mike was catching also, white bass. I had some white bass action too. Moved up to Skull Island, fished the deeper water, 10-12 &#39;. Mike caught a real nice 3#er, a cat, on a black and blue jig. Put up a good fight, just wrong species. Caught more white bass, and a couple of dink yellow bass. Went real shallow next, and tried around the grass, pitchin&#39; to docks. No luck. Next we tried deep , by some bluffs, Mike had a couple of taps. Ran back to Dallas bay to finish, didn&#39;t add anything to the empty livewell. Caught some fish pretty much through out the day, just wrong size or wrong species. Still was a beautiful day to fish. Congratulations to Jim and Jim, nice bag.<br />
