Caught some white crappie just jigging and swimming a gold spinner with a jig with a red body chartreuse tail curly tailed grub around 6-7pm
I also had some luck with some small spotted bass and panfish on just some worms.(while targetting the largemouths just sitting there suspended in the middle of the creek)
And my sister caught a nice looking drum on a worm.

Just something I have noticed, is that there are what appear to be pretty decent sized largemouth bass that are started to congregate together together around 1-3 ft from the surface, just sitting there, or moving upstream. Absolutely nothing I tried was able to get any of them to strike. I tried hula poppers, spinnerbaits, a frog, crankbaits, texas rigs etc. Though that could just be a manner of my presentation not being proper.(I did suceed in dangleing a live worm in front of one of these bass, and yet he still did not strike.) The best I managed to get from them was to spook them to swim away for a minute.

I only saw them from around 12-3 pm. From there I guess they just swam to somewhere else.

Another thing is I have been noticing some BIG fish that seem to be migrating upstream lately. They look like some fish on a mission. If I had to guess based on how they looked, and their size I would say they are probably striped bass. I have not yet had a chance to fish for one to confirm.

From what I could tell they all seemed to be around this big(example photo found on google):

I live off the north chick around 4 miles upstream.

This is my first time doing a fishing report, so If I did something wrong or anything let me know. Also let me know if you are interested in reports coming from the N chick creek or not. If there is a interest then I will be more than happy to report what I catch with how I catch it. Otherwise I will just report on any catches I have when on the lake.
Â
 Happy fishing folks
