Wow. who would have ever thought, they would have a season when the Indians started there coho project. For all the bad I have said about them when they snag fish outside the hatcheries they got this one right. I hope they continue to introduce them into other drainages.

Thats crazy that 9lbs is the record. They must loose quite a bit of weight by the time the get up river. When we were in the salt close to the river mouths up in Alaska 10-12 lbs were the average and almost every day a group with yank one in over 15. Here was my 15.6lb silver.

Talked to a friend in Orofino over the weekend. They are catching those coho's in the northfork with spoons. He had a dozen of them come through his place on Saturday.
