Fishing Forum

We were shorebound and fished for about 4 hours in the afternoon. Weather was fantastic. So we hit the area around the marina and day use areas in Soldier Creek. Fishing was not so fantastic. We walked the shore pitching tubes for only 6 cutts. Not the ideal time of day to fish... however, I don't believe the fish are.thick in the shallows just yet. We shall see what this cold front brings.

Launched out of the aspen grove today, thursday. Had the same results from my boat and not much better last week. Way better last month. Used all the lures and baits i usually do well with, including tubes and didnt get much action. Caught a few deep, a few shallow. A lot of top water action around 10. No bows, but did see a lot of newly stocked bows and cutts splashing around with slot buster pigs lurking near by.
