Forgive me this trespass, but I have been reading the book "Don Quixote" and have taken the inspiration for this post from it:

This morning, having read from the book of chivalry "Don Quixote" before attempting to slay a monster in honor of my incomparably lovely and virtuous Lady Mrs EricM, I, the knight-errant Sir EricM, donned my suit of armor (or UnderArmor) and my helmet (which looked suspiciously like a stocking cap) to sally forth in pursuit of adventure. I grasped my lance (filled with 6 pound test) and spurred my powerful steed (150 hp Johnson Sea Horse) into action. Upon arrival at the battleground, I issued a warning to all opponents to gird their loins (do fish even have loins??) and prepare for battle. Apparently, there were no courageous denizens of the deep nearby, or if there were, they thought it ill-prudent to come to blows with one so famous for his skill with his ultralight lance. As the faint-hearted cowards retired from the area, they left behind a few of their lesser squires and minions to protect the rear flank by attacking and offering themselves up in service of their masters. Impressed by the fortitude and willingness of these lesser fish, I had pity on them all and released each of them, even the 11 pound denizen-in-training, honoring their bravery.

The good Lady Mrs EricM, having a soft and forgiving heart, honored this knight's resolute courage in attempting such a daunting task - not by smiting him about the head and shoulders as she is wont to do in some of his failures - but with a gentle
and a sparkle in her blue eyes.

Verily, I experienced much joy on the battleground again this morn, and have been uplifted to be able to describe this latest adventure to my worthy friends.

Lastly, an artist's rendering of one of today's triumphs!
