Had a short day yesterday so decided to go hit the lake for some fish in the freezer. Since this year's CBAs are over and only the classic for the CFF is left I thought I would brush the dust off the crappie rod and see what I could find. Got out after the morning bite but still found a few willing to bite. First stop hit a bluff and quickly put five nice keepers in the live well. Then they just shut off. Moved to a couple docks, the first dock managed four on it with three that would keep. The second dock was a blank. Next hit a bank that usually has a few but not one wanted to play. Hit another bluff and found several there in two places. Half were short but picked up four more keepers there. Finally ran into the wolf, sifted through some shorts to get my last three keepers for a decent 15 crappie limit. emoThumbsup Most of the ones I caught were from a 15 to 20 count near the bottom.

Got to see drumking and candi out as they sped by in his new boat. emoToast It was a great little afternoon outing and you could not ask for a prettier day. I love this time of year. Its really about time to head for the woods but so far I just haven't done so. Had fresh fish for dinner last night. Mmmmmm good! emoHungry Jmax
