One of best investments this year was in a light-weight aluminum trailer so I could set up my NFO Dragonfly the night before and be on and off the water in minutes. The trailer is great but with its aluminum, diamond plate floor, it took more than a little muscle to slide the raft on and off.

Mojo told me that trailers for white-water rafts sometimes use a roller on the back with a carpeted floor to make it easy to load/unload. To purchase a trailer roller bar was at least $200, but saw these material rollers on sale at HF for $13 each and thought two would support the side chambers of raft. They sit slightly higher than the trailer floor so rolling is a breeze. Also bought some outdoor carpeting that is held in place by four tie-down hooks and then hot glued to front and back edges.

This combination works great! In just seconds, wife can slide fully-loaded raft (frame, battery, motor, anchor, etc.) off trailer, and two of us can load raft in same amount of time. On the Green, we got comments from ranger at boat launch for how quickly we could load and unload and get out of the way. Spent two weeks at Island Park and really came to appreciate how fast we could be on and off the water. Allowed us to easily move to different launch locations on Henry’s Lake if fishing was slow in one area.

I have been using trailers for some time now and I am with you. I like being able to roll up set up then head for the launch. It takes me moments to load and unload. When unloading I slide it on and take it to a place to strip it for travel.

That trailer is saweet as heck Kevin. The rollers are a very cool addition, however, you scored well on those H.F. When we went there was non to be found and they nothing about them.
We use a totally rebuilt Harbor Freight fold in half trailer. One trip to Strawberry with it brand new and someone thought it would be fun to drive on it while we were out fishing. We nursed it home, pulled the springs and axle off and had a trailer built.
We had it built with the ability to add risers for more boats. So it can haul three.
Works great for the 12' boats we use to have, the 10'6" boats we now have and the 14' boat, plus I can pull it with my car.

This trailer has been working fantastic for about 14 years now with a lot of miles on it.

Plus I can use a bigger boat by myself.

This is what HF calls them. Saw them there a few days ago for $13.99.

By the way, what is it with Strawberry? I had someone steal my trailer bearing cap when we were last at Chicken Creek (I know it didn't fall off because I checked axel temp when we arrived).

That is what we used, but they weren't $13.99.!!!!
We were at Ladders. Tons of people on the shore and no one saw(or heard) anything. I am sure it was the white ford 4x4 next to us. Totally munched the back half or our trailer. Sure wish we had taken pictures (maybe we did, but it was like in the 1990's)
That sucks about your trailer! People, really? And I watch shows like Walking Dead and wonder how the survivors can kill people that haven't changed?! EVIL.
