So, I needed a new reel for my sinking lines and grabbed a cheap Cabela's reel and put my intermediate line on it, wanted an extra spool for my full sink but they don't sell spools for this reel, grabbed a cheap reel off amazon for my sinking line, seems like a decent reel for the price.

Those Cabelas reels are incredible for the price.
The new Lamson Remix is another that is an amazing buy. You can get a "three pack" which comes with reel body, three spools, and a carrying case for $150.

I have that same Cabela's reel. It was given to me. I have put it through the paces on Carp. Only reason I am not using it now is I am using the SharkSkin on my Kraken reel.
I am still a loyal fan of Allen Fly Fishing gear.
With the price of good reels, I quit buying spools many years ago. Gave me a great excuse to buy rods for those reels.
Remo, doing stillwater, you are going to want the rods strung up on shore. I haul 3 or 5 rods. One with floating for deep nymphing or top water, one intermediate, one Type II or III and lastly a fast sink like a Type VII or Depth Charge.
I use to just change out reels on the water, but accidentally dropping an English Battenkill loaded with $85. line, I don't do that anymore. And yes I had a deck under me. The reel bounced right off it.[:/]
