Been in IN til yesterday & had a few hours this afternoon so, looking at the weather forecast, decided I'd go since it didn't look much better til late next week. Got to the ramp at noon. It's 39* with a 15 mph north wind. Started with a trap on points with nothing. Still seeing some good mats, decided to throw a frog. 3rd cast, miss a blowup! Get a call from Brent & he's near the ramp & has an hr. for lunch. Pick him up & head back to a mat. Almost immediately he sticks a nice 5.5#, Then gets a 3.5#. Then I get a 3. Most of these fish really want it! I take him back to the dock & I see a fish nail a shad on a little point. Brent pick up his trap & gets nailed by a 4#er! He heads back to work & I head to another mat. Miss the 1st blow, but then get a 4#, a 3 & another keeper before heading in at 5. It even sleeted on me & the temp when I got to the ramp was a balmy 33*, but found water b/w 52* & 54*. Probably the last frog bite I'll have this year, but it was a fun way to end it!
