i knew it wouldn't be long with all the talk about cascade perch

Checked his site. It's basic but functional. However when I tried to verify that he's licensed to guide in Idaho the licensing site couldn't find any info on his name, the company, or smaller versions of or acronyms of the company. May just be they're newly licensed and the site hasn't been updated but makes me raise an eyebrow.

I just got off the phone with IOGLB and he is licensed. You have to search for the company name and not use the map search function to find his info. They will correct that problem. They indicated he just got his license 2 days ago. Congratulations to Bill as I know how hard it is to get a new guides license through IOGLB.

Thanks for checking on that Avery. I did check for it under the company name but it didn't pop. Like I wondered, just hadn't been updated in their system yet. Wish him the best of luck in his endeavor then.

I heard somewhere that Tamarack had some type of exclusive guiding rights on Cascade.

It looks like this guy is a teacher trying to make a few bucks on weekends and holidays. Power to him. It's looking like a tough year to start an ice fishing business - hopefully we can start fishing up there by Christmas.

I am now. Thanks for the positive comments. Appreciate it. It was a lot of work to get licensed. I think getting my Master's Degree was easier. I'm looking forward to the upcoming ice fishing season. Christmas may be pushing it.

Welcome aboard and good luck in your venture. A lot of us fish Cascade and will probably be seeing you this winter. I imagine you will be the guy drilling holes and baiting hooks. I will be the guy doing the same thing but not getting paid. If you meet a member of BFT on the ice, don't believe a word they say about me.
