Got to the ramp about 10:30 & ran to a 2ndary point I'd seen bait around. Started with a jerkbait & caught a slick & then a 2#, then lost a pretty good one. Moved to a creek that had a lot of stringy grass in it & bait everywhere on a flat. Fish were busting the bait but couldn't find a bait that would get thru that stuff. Finally went to a lite buzzbait with a bulky trailer so I could slow it way down & get a 2.5# & miss another bite. move to another creek & get a nice 4.5# on a trap. Went to the jerkbait on a deeper bank coming out of the creek & get a 2#er & a yellow perch who bit off more than he could chew! Made one more stop in a pocket that had a bunch of old grass blown up in it. A frog was about the only way to fish it &, Bam, a nice 3.5# nails it. Then caught another 2.5# on the frog before pulling out at 5:15. Found water from 51.5 - 56*. Missed getting pics of the frog fish. Got in a hurry trying to get in a couple more casts!
