Well, the snow bird is going back to Florida tomorrow, so he had to have one last crappie trip and I was honored to take him. We landed about 18 keepers and several shorts that we didn't number. It was a scouting trip for me for the upcoming CCC tournament next Sunday. We went to the lower end to begin with and it was useless. Only two keepers caught down there. Somebody must know where they are down river, but I surely don't. They aren't in the old places. emoBigSmile

Then we moved to mid lake and started catching keepers here and there. We didn't stay in any one spot very long. Just long enough to catch the fish and determine the size and whether it was worth time on it during the tx. We went back into the creek and caught a few keepers up to 11" and several shorts. On to CFP to check out brushpiles and other spots. I caught a couple of really nice keepers in that area. Then we moved to the bluff for the final 10 minutes of fishing and caught 2 more keepers and called it a day.

Thanks for going with me today, Pat. Have a safe trip to sunny Florida and enjoy your trashy green fishing this winter. They don't have real fish down there do they? emoPoke Tell Susan to keep you in line and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in May. BTW, you can get internet down there so we expect some fishing reports and pics. emoBigSmile emoGeezer

The new remote works on Crazy Ivan. It is still just as crazy as before, but I do like the new remote.
