A few years ago, Al Lindner said on his TV program, the Angling Edge, that he and his brother, Ron, had kept meticulous records of all their fishing trips for the past 35 years and his conclusion was this: No matter the season, no matter the species that you fish for, no matter the body of water that you fish, in any given week, you will have 2 great days of fishing, 3 good days of fishing, and 2 poor days of fishing. I have said all this to say that yesterday, Dr Phil and I fished for about 4 or more hours and only caught 1 keeper crappie. Oh, we located many, but they were all in a negative mood. I'm not sure that hand grenades would have worked.

Then today, Biofisher, (Gary Fomby), and I got out for 4 rapid hours of fishing. Results were still poor by our standards, but at least we did manage to catch 7 keepers, 3 spotted bass, and 1 Blue catfish, plus a couple of short crappie. We basically hit the same spots as yesterday, and the fish were still there, but were willing to at least bite a little bit. We had to leave before the major feeding period today. emoBang

It will get better Dr Phil and Gary. Don't give up hope. Fish are still around the corner. They will be in trouble too.

We caught our fish on various colors. Blue Ghost, Glacier, Ghastly Minnow, on 1/32, 1/24 and 1/16 oz jig heads with BG plastics. Most fish were deep. I did catch one keeper shallow. We fished bluffs, and brushpiles. We saw Jonboat and his sons out on the water in CFP. Good talking to you Brian. Hope you guys loaded the boat. emoBig emoGeezer
