Ice report.

Chopped a hole with a shovel on my way home from work today. It was about 4 inches in the reeds. I didn't go past the reeds but I am sure that ice is not far behind. The ducks and geese are still keeping a couple of holes open out in the middle. It was a balmy 9 degrees when I was there. I would say with a little caution, it is ready to fish on New Years day, or this weekend at the latest. Sub-zero temps the next two nights should build a lot of ice in a hurry! Have fun!

I checked the NE corner of the lake, where the dirt road crosses.
