I just fished the Saratoga Harbor 15 minutes ago during my lunch break.
Ice is <3".
No hits and nothing seen on my Showdown.

According to the other thread on UL ice I can see here, at least the Provo Harbor is capped. I would venture a guess that with the cold snap it's walkable, but I don't know for sure. Hopefully I'll be able to hit the ice either there or AF harbor soon, and when I do I'll be sure to post a report.

Fished Provo harbor on Monday from the docks. There was about an 1.5" of cloudy ice. Never got a hit.

Has anyone tried Lindon? They put in a few new docks this year. I wonder if it will attract a few more bluegill and crappie.

Fished Lindon Boat Harbor today.
Ice was scetchy and only fished from the docks. About 1-3 inches tops.
Occasional white bass and a few schools of Perch passed under me. No real signs of bluegill or crappie...

Did you fish any of the new docks? I don't know if they dredged around those new ones or not. The older ones should have areas of deeper water in them.

Utah lake is DEADER than hell!!! Spent 3 hrs today nada. Plenty of ice just no fish. Ice is at least 3 to 4 inches but varies. Plenty for walking ,not atv worthy yet. Going to try elsewhere for sure. Mantua time lol.

I am at the Saratoga Springs Marina right now.
Ice is almost 6" and fishing was fast until 20 minutes ago then died off quickly at 9am.
Started at 7 am and caught around 2 dozen or so. Mix of whites, sunfish, and perch.
Too bad only 3 fish would reach the 7" mark, one of each specie.
Update: Just caught an 8" whitey a second ago. Make that 4 over 7"!!!
Waxies under orange jigs.

Sounds like Provo and Lindon aren't hot right now... I'll hopefully be able to hit AF harbor over the weekend. Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure to bring my orange ice bugs and some waxies Smile

Keep the reports coming Smile

Fishing was excellent 1/1/2014. Had to move around to find them but our party of 8 caught 175 WB in a 3 hour span. Ice was 3-4 inches thick. Most of Lake is capped over as far as I could see.

Used various Sonars. The size of the fish as stated in early posts show that these fish are all of a good size.

Another great fish fry. Happy New Year to All.
