Fished Lake Mary a couple of days ago. To my surprise, the lower half of the reservoir is completely gone. They must have drained it. Hiked another 500 feet or so to the upper half. That part is still there and covered with ice. Ice thickness is about 5 inches or so, with about 18 inches of slush in the middle. Can still cut through it with a standard hand auger. Fished for about 45 minutes in the afternoon, then the sun set and it got cold, so I left. Not a single bite. Tried jigs tipped with worms and wax worms. Has anyone else been up there this winter? Any luck? Thinking about trying Cathrene or Twin Lakes next week.
