Hyrum has ice but i don't think it's safe it cracked All day it's only 3 1/2 inch but I was wondering if any one knows any thing about the hyrum tournament And if they are even havin it

So how did you do on the unsafe ice? I fished it Saturday and it was 4" measured where I was at. Sorry didn't hear any tournament details. J

Cracking and popping tain't no thang. It's normal considering you're standing on a sheet of frozen water floating atop a lake that's still moving, flowing, and bouncing. Just flexing her ice-muscles.

I don't think they had the tournament last year (maybe I'm wrong?) but I thought it had fizzled. Who knows, maybe they'll bring it back. Bet the park rangers might know.

SO... how was the fishing? Catch some little skinny planter bows?

It's a little sketchy when u watch the ice cracked right at my hole 3 times out 7 while drilling them but ya fishin was a little slow only got 5 in like 4 hours

There was a piece in the local Logan paper stating that the Hyrum State Park tourney will be on January 24 from 8 to whenever. Registration starts at 7. Cost is $12 per person with advanced registration and $15 the day of. Go on line to their web site to see more, I think.
