Fished Echo today on the dam end. Rainbow bite was decent, caught 10. Ice was anywhere from 4"-6" thick, Clear ice. But I did not fish more than 200 yards from shore. There was standing water on top of the ice in many places. Temps were above freezing most of the day. Standing water on top of white ice around the edges. As usual a little questionable getting on and off. Didn't break through at all near the edge though.

Thanks for the report, hopefully the ice stays good for the next few.
Im heading up there after work this morning in search of some perch.
Sounds like the trout are biting well if the perch don't want to cooperate at least.
Ill give an ice report when i get back tonight.

I found no perch, and did not feel comfortable heading far out on the ice to reach deeper water where I usually find them.

Yea the perch are tough just gotta know where there at, you dont need to go deep at echo for perch, even though you still can catch them deeper shallower has produced.
Think around 20 feet deep, that has produced very well in the past at echo.
