Some friends were fishing from a boat on Sunday. The north end (Charleston) has some ice but there is still plenty of open water.

Here's a couple pics of Rainbow Bay from Saturday. No ice to be seen there.

I drive by DC every day and the reservoir is in no hurry of freezing. Heber is expecting temps to 40 degrees the rest of the week. which is making me a little upset, i was hoping to get on the hard deck by now.

]I was in Heber this evening. I stopped in the main marina for a minute. The ramp is dry. I could see where someone had loaded a boat and pulled up the ramp leaving a water trail. No Ice!

These pictures are from Monday. Saw two boats during the day and there were two groups of fishermen on the ice. Temp was around 40deg.

Thanks for the pictures and report. It sure helps to have that kind of information before you make a long drive.
I might have to get the tube out again.[

I fished from a boat today. Weather was good. No ice anytime soon. Caught some medium rainbows on brown rapalas. 38 degree water. Bank fishers doing good with powerbait.

Thanks for the report.
I'm going to fish it tomorrow in my tube. There are not many options nowadays for soft water. Maybe I can catch some medium sized rainbows myself.[

If the weather is warm and the winds mild, I won't care if I even catch a fish.
