Did not have much happening with work today. After a short day of work decided to go brave the elements for a short little mid day fishing trip. Tried to find a partner who might go but after three tries I gave up and just went by myself. I guess no one else was just that stupid...ah...I mean dedicated. Wink If it were not for the degrees being in the 20s, the high winds, three foot swells and a few snow flurries it would have been a very nice day. Got to the landing and was surprised to see I had the whole lake to myself. emoBigSmile

It was very slow, the water was muddy everywhere I went. Tried from about 7 foot to maybe 27 foot. Never found any stacked up or any that would bite that were stacked up. Just a few scattered here and there. The dang wind made such a bow in my line that it was really hard to tell when and if I got a strike. I am not sure I felt one single strike the whole trip. I did manage nine crappie in the boat and one bream. Not really that good but considering the conditions I will take it. I was going to keep a few but my hands got so cold I decided to let them go when I came in. emoRolleyes You know it is cold when you get back to the landing and find icicles hanging off your trailer.

I have not been in a while and today I at least got to stretch a line. emoThumbsup Water temp was any where from 45 to around 47.5. Time to thaw out. emoAngler Jmax
