Been lurking online for a few weeks now and I figure that I can help other people out with my reports and feedback just as much as I can learn from other peoples reports and feedback so.....

I went for a drive with my wife to settlement tonight just to see how settlement was (I had never been there before). Didn't plan on fishing very long but I did get to fish for about 30 minutes. I caught 2 little bows on a white tube jig tipped with a nightcrawler. Ice was very thin on the edge. I was about 10 yards from the bank and the ice was about 4-5 inches. Fished in 10 FOW and caught the two fish a foot off the bottom.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the report on Settlement. I've fished it a few times but only in the times of soft water. It's too bad they won't let you take a tube on it.

Welcome to BFT! Thanks for the report. Settlement is a great place to get to that is close when the time is not all available for a longer trip.

Welcome and thanks for the report! I have been tinkering with the idea of going up to Settlement. I live here in Tooele, so it is close by. My friends said you can't get out on the ice in Grantsville and they said there was no fish action at Vernon this morning. I want to try Settlement soon. I have never ice fished there. I kind of got tired of catching planter rainbows there all summer. Hopefully, the fish in there will grow bigger soon. Take care!
