Weather is too nice too waste so I'm headed out for the first SH trip of the year. Not expecting much, but I've had some pretty good February days in the past. Any recent reports? Thanks.

Little slow fishing there today but still caught a few in about 25 to 35 feet and the lake is low

Hey thanks. Hopefully they're able to start keeping some water in it. Glad to hear you got a few-gives me hope.[reply][/reply]

I hope it starts filling up, I couldn't believe how low it was in April last year, that little launch by the restaurant was useless again for my canoe, had to launch with the speedboats at the main launch.

I was thinking of going down as well. Not real familiar with fishing this time of year. Are there any particular lures or techniques that seem to work better. Size color locations that may produce better. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did really well last Feb. vertically jigging a Maniac Cut'r Bug Changeable Craw/Chartreuse on a 3/16 lead head jig fishing about 25-30' of water. If I couldn't see them on the graph I would just fan cast around the boat with the same lure and shake it and drag it along the bottom. Please practice catch and release as this technique can be deadly! We would all like the opportunity to catch those same fish again.

Thanks

Didn't fish long, but put a few in the boat. Nothing too big, but nice to catch the first bass of 2015! Pray for rain! It's super low for sure.
