We had Daniel for the weekend, so today, with it being so pretty outside, we decided to take him bluegill fishing at Riverpark. We had a great 2 hours of fishing. Then the wind got too strong for us. It was blowing when we started, but not too badly. Daniel caught the first fish all by himself. He had a ball today. Unhooked the fish himself, measured them, put them in the livewell if they were 8" or bigger. Now we are going to have a mess for supper tonight. Wanda caught several fish too including a small white bass. Daniel also caught 2 yellow bass in addition to about 20-25 bluegills. I caught about 20+ bluegills and a channel catfish. <br /><br />Our technique was to impale a wax worm on a #6 bait holder hook and drop shot weight on the bottom. We fished in 14-18 feet of water. Fish were active. Daniel was bragging about how he caught more fish than Papaw. I'm not so sure about that, but I can at least claim the biggest fish today. emoBig <br /><br />Daniel is already asking when the catfish competition is going to start. I'll get some of Rsimms chicken breasts and have a go at it the next time he stays with us over the weekend. emoBig emoGeezer
