I was thinking about doing a night fish at the berry. I have never fished at night there. I am just wondering what would be a good depth to focus on. I will probably fish by the Marina. Any tips for a successful night bite will be appreciated

Welcome to BFT and thanks for posting. I would fish water that is 15' or shallower. As warm as it has been one should be able to move around, while fishing at night, if necessary to find the fish.

I had great fishing at Strawberry Friday night after 8:00 and at 9:00 things really took off. Fish were just off the bottom at about 28' or about half way down. They seemed to like small 1.5" glow white tube jigs and chartreuse glow ratfinkee type baits, both tipped with wax worms. Good luck.

I second the 20 to 30 feet of water. With a flasher, you will see everything at all depths.

I've never fished at night there either. Bait_Caster and I are headed down to give it a try tonight for the first time. When I get back tomorrow, If I can stay awake long enough to make a report, I'll give ya all the details of ice conditions, outside temps, what lures/baits worked, water depths, etc.
