Two weeks ago you couldn't access the ice without a plank or even the 20 foot walkway the DWR built for the tourney up there. HUGE open water area also. With all the warm temps I'm thinkin you'll be able to launch a boat up there soon if not already.

I was there last Saturday 2/7 (couldn't get to Strawberry because of the US 40 closure). I came in from Jeremy Ranch and only went as far as Taylors Hollow. Some kind soul had left a 12' plank to the ice. Be extremely careful, if you don't have a plank I don't think you would be able to get onto the ice. The ice where we were at was only 2.5 to 3 inches. I'm sure it will not be growing with these temps (it was 60 degrees according to the truck when we left). I saw numerous cracks that appeared to be widening as well. The southern part of the reservoir was open water
