I know many of you are focused on soft water now, but for anyone who is still interested in boring holes in the hard deck, Scofield still has plenty of safe ice. I moved around alot and the ice was from 8" to 12". Got on and off the ice sheet without the need of a plank, but I had it with me just in case. I caught a number of Cuts, a few Bows and my first Tiger through the ice, so it was an enjoyable day. Had to wade through some chubs to get to the trout. Hopefully they made a good dinner for the resident bald eagle.

Thanks for the report. With the weather the way it is, it is nice to have both options of fishing. Either soft or hard.[cool]
