Picked Dean up Tuesday around 4 am and headed to the Holler. It was snowing pretty good between Whitwell and Dunlap but when we got to the top- of Cagle Mountain it quit. Fished Tuesday and it was cold and windy up on the Plateau and water temp was between 39 and 40 most places. Probably ideal conditions for the Float and fly but you can do the same deal swimming a jig so thats whats we did. Found them suspended over deep water and caught 12 on Tuesday . Knew the snow was coming in Wed eve. so we fished till noon so we could get back and Dean and myself hated to leave because the front coming in had them biting pretty good. I think we caught 15 maybe a few more but they were all good fish . Tuesday we did not see a boat all day and finally seen a pontoon on wed. I tell you it's nice having a lake such as the Holler all by yourself. Enjoyed sitting a boat with Ole Dean, here some pics of some of the fish.
