Hey guys--
I'm taking a couple of guys fishing on Saturday afternoon. They came from California and are used to surf fishing, so I don't want to get skunked I'm hoping to make them into freshwater and light tackle converts. Far as I know, neither one of them has ever caught even a stocked trout.
From the DWR email reports I get, the Highland Glen Park pond was supposed to start stocking this week, but online it's not showing up in the stocking report. I would assume Manila Creek Park pond in Pleasant Grove is the same situation.
Anyone know for sure if there are a bunch of really stupid trout that will eat PowerBait now in those two community ponds? Haha. I just want to make sure the action is easy and fast for my buddies tomorrow. And for me. I'm not too proud to admit I still get a kick out of catching stockies on powerbait.
