Has anyone fished Matt Warner Res? If so, is it worth taking a trip out there?

Don't get me started on Gary, can't stand the guy (or his wife). He is just as annoying and arrogant in person. I've met him several times while fishing at SH. Now, Greg (the guy he fishes with at SH) is a cool guy...I enjoy talking with him. Anyways...
We've had some killer trips to Matt Warner over the years! The rainbows there are FAT and SASSY! We always take the toons with us when we go fish the Green so we can swing over to Warner and catch them. We catch them on intermediate lines with buggers and hares ears droppers. They are so aggressive there that double ups are very common (a fish on each fly)! That's fun! We need to get back over there, it's been a couple years now.

I have been wanting to help someone out since I signed up just a couple weeks ago. The trouble is I am a rooky amongst the folks on this sight. However, I may be able to get you a report on the ice about this time tomorrow. I have a very close friend that has property on Diamond Mountain very close to there. He is hard to get ahold of but I will call him tomorrow and see if he has been past there and can give a report on the open water. With the temps we will have the weekend you may want to leave the auger home. I will post either way. I have never been skunked there but it has been 5 years since I have fished it.

I spoke with my friend in vernal. He has not been up the hill for a week. He is planning on taking his mom up to their cabin today if she feels well. He said he will try a snap a picture for me. His program is like a trainwreck. Don't wanna watch but I gotta keep looking back. Can't remember the last time I made it through a whole episode before shutting it off in frustration.

I have to admit he's not half as bad lately as he used to be. The show's producer probably heard plenty of complaints about him, that he acts like an idiotic arrogant ding dong etc etc. If he could just grow up to be more like Adam or Doug.....

Gary was personable when I met him. Can't say anything bad about the man.
I saw his show once though and turned it off after hearing him call eastern Utah rainbows "Steelhead" repeatedly, without any further explanation.
None of them had ever touched salt water and none of them were over 30".
As much as I like to fish, I never seem to catch the local fishing shows. No Tivo or DVR and they just don't quite grab me. Of course, the only way they would is if they highlighted more lakes I fish and, well...I really hope they don't![
