I got the opportunity to get out on the lake again today with a couple that came down to learn a few areas to fish and have a great weekend on the "Big-G. We stayed in the mid-lake area and still focused on the deeper grass lines in 8-10 ft. of water. The bite was slow like the last few days have been, but we still managed some good solid fish on 3/4-1 oz. Rat-L-Traps. The cold front has still got the shallow bite a little slow, but the deeper grass areas are still holding true, that is when you can find a place where there's no "FLOATING GRASS"! This can be very frustrating, especially when you know that the areas are holding fish but you can't fish them effectively because of your lure fouling up on every cast. When you do find the areas where the floating grass is not so thick on the surface, and it's near the deeper grass lines, you can usually get on some nice fish. Get out and have fun, Mike Carter
