Got on the lower provo today for about an hour and had a blast. I hooked 6 landed 4. I used a stone fly nymph and sow bug tandem and got fish on both. I also caught a few tree fish [mad], at least they were big[
]. It was a great day to get out and enjoy 70 degree weather and a bend in the rod!

Nice, looks like an eel, long and skinny...glad you got into some of those elusive "Timber Trout" hard to come by..[laugh]

By "Lower Provo" do you mean near the mouth of Provo Canyon, or down in the flatlands near the lake? I'm thinking of going in the next day or two myself, so I appreciate your advice and encouragement. Normally I don't go fly fishing in March.

They all were skinny, that was the longest one at about 15 inches, but skinny skinny.

Nicely done! One thing i have noticed on the lower provo is you gotta get real deep for the big guys... At least two good pieces of split shot. Also i didn't have any small enough dry flies last time i went out, so during a midge hatch i used a size 20 rainbow warrior and cleaned up! Caught this one bouncing right along the bottom with a tasty sow bug pattern
