My son cmdrtigertrout is helping to upgrade the boat. We are ripping out the seats today so as to install pedestal seats. Once done there will be more deck space available and will be more comfortable. Next will be to obtain some Bimini parts to get that out of the way.

Those new seats look sweet. Also, the mods worked out well for the transducer on the toon. I forgot to take a pic last time I went out but may try to get out this weekend. I'll send you one. Thanks for the help!

Glad they worked out for you.

Looks like I need an 11" pedestal. In this pic it's a 13".

Vast improvement. You got rid of sort-of-red and replaced with blue and white.[Wink]

Actually blue and grey.[sly]

Seats are In. Bimini is up out of the way. Now all that is left is the normal axle and lower unit servicing and to finish the fiberglassing. I also have a surprise waiting for me at cabelas I ordered. Hopefully it fits and will work. Pics attached.

Now you have the boat looking so sharp you are going to have to fix up the trailer with new carpeting on your side rails.
[signature]
Yeah that will be at another day and age. First things first, I gotta take it fishin[laugh]

Nice work! You can't have to much deck space in a fishing vessel. Were did you get the Bimini, and parts? I need to get one for my boat.

Bimini came with the boat. All I did was add a couple short poles. I got the parts at west marine in midvale. Bikinis are available at west marine and I think cabelas.

Well the motor mount I bought from cabelas didn't fit, so I will have to take it back and start over.[:/]

For what motor did you buy this mount Kevin? Electric, kicker[:/].
[signature]
Electric. It is a bow mount that clamps on. My gunwale on my bow is too thick so I will need to figure something else out.

Have you already made a post about this asking members for suggestions? If you have not done that already, you might get some ideas if you add some pics to this thread or start a new one, showing what you are dealing with. I seem to remember us talking about this before. Is there any reason you can't use a regular mount and shim it to get it level? Seems the light in the front was in the way[:/] or something like that.

It also has a railing on the bow. So I am just thinking along and brain storming. I am not sure if I want to go with one of the bolt down style or just a clamp on. Just trying to see what works.

Ok I have an idea for a possible motor mount for my bow. Pic attached of the bow. What I am thinking is obtaining some composite decking material. Building a mount out of it then bolt it to the railing uprights in two aces to make it sturdy. Just not sure how to make the motor mount of it strong enough to take the torque of a 55 lb thrust transom mount motor. I could use PVC similar to how I made my wife's mount for her float tube. Any ideas?

I can't help you an idea Kevin but I can offer you a suggestion, if no one else has an answer for you. Look up metal fabricator and see what you can find, then give them a call. Also, I know a place up by Willard that can fabricate just about anything, if you give them an idea about what you want to built. Sorry I don't have their number but if you haven't got it figured out by the weekend, I'll see if I can find out.

Ok thanks! Right now I am playing with different ideas to see what I can come up with.

If you mount it too the railing the motor might not be long enough to be in the
water very far. I would remove one of the corner pieces and built a mount to the
boat deck. just my 2 cents.
