Flaming Gorge big Lakers and the Onix

my wife was excited she got the biggest Lake Trout she has ever got and, she pulled them in by her self. (she had a Total shoulder replacement last year)
If any one is thinking about buying a humminbird Onix fish finder,
here are some screen Captures,
It is one Awesome fish finder, They still need to fix some things,
with updates.
It looks like the rainbow trout are spawning they were all over the place at the Lucerne Valley Marina boat ramp.

How is the lake doing, is it turning over yet? Last week I was noticing some stratification up in some of the bays near buckboard/squaw hollow.

That onix really shows those bottom huggers. Is that map shot hot maps, navionics or a custom? Nice

I was also thinking about buying one mostly for the make your own map feature and the 360 imaging. After spending a lot of time on their web site the cost of the unit is just the beginning. If you want to do lots of your own mapping you have to buy a card it wasn't too much like 100 bucks. The 360 imaging required a 1500$ transducer
It took awhile to figure all this out on the web site. I would recommend going to Cabelas and have them show you all about it and answer lots of questions. Then I would think about it for awhile. I'm still thinking[crazy]

Ouch![shocked] I went with cheaper models. The price tag on these I just don't have. My latest FF is a humminbird 571 HD DI. Still learning how to use it.[cool]
