Alright Folks, need your help. A friend and I want to catch a walleye or a pike. I've heard of some being caught at Utah Lake. Where do you guys suggest I go and what to use to catch either one? I am aware that Pike should be taken to the DNR and that is what i plan on doing.

Go fish for white bass and catch the other by accident. That is what I do because if I limit my self to target a certain species I won't catch it. Fish the harbors and if you go to Lincoln Beach area go around the point to the pull out and have some waders or if you have a boat launch at Lincoln and go around the point. I have caught walleye there numerous times and the Provo boat harbor. I throw plastics and do ok. I usually throw a minnow out on one pole while I throw plastics on the other. I have never caught a pike out of there.

Don't know about the pike...for walleye, some like the Spanish fork river inlet, Lincoln beach, provo state park to name a few. Seems like most folks like to throw curly tail jigs on leadheads, and everyone has their favorite color. Easy it aint... I been fishing that lake for awhile, and IMO, its never really fast. More like salmon/steelhead fishing; you just gotta keep going, be on the water a lot, and now and again you get one. Good luck and enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
