I had the honor of taking my good friend, Gary Fomby aka Biofisher, on a crappie fishing trip this AM. We could have picked a better day. Wee doggies, did the wind ever blow. But we did manage to eke out a dozen keeper crappie for Gary's dinner tonight. We also had a few thowback crappie. Nothing over 11" today. We caught most of our fish in Island Cove today around brush and also a few on docks. Many of the males were putting on their black tuxedos for the prom this Saturday. Full moon and you know what that means in April. emoBig
emoDance emoFish <br /><br />The hot lure for me today was the Panfish Assassin Limetreuse Ghost on 1/32 oz jig heads. A new Soddy Custom Tackle 2&quot; minnow type also was productive. Blue Thunder by Bobby Garland caught a couple of fish as well. After I hit on the Panfish Assassin, I didn&#39;t go back to other lures. The 2&quot; version of this lure is &quot;smokin hot&quot;. The lure in the first pic is by Crappie Dawg in the Emerald color.<br /><br />Next time, Gary, pick a better day. Order the wind to be calm or at least less than white capping MPH. emoBig emoGeezer
