I'm heading to Willard Bay tomorrow with the fam for the easter egg hunt. While there, I'd like to fish some from the bank. Where can I go from teh shore there and what should I fish for? I've never fished Willard. Mostly fish for catfish on UL.

Thanks!

Jared
If you fish for cats at UL then you should do somewhat well at Willard. They have lots of cats.

[#0000FF]With the extreme low water conditions at Willard there are not many places you can fish from shore with any expectation of reaching many fish. In the area you are planning to be the best spot might be right at the mouth of the channel...on the north side. There is at least 8 feet of water within reasonable casting distance...both out in the channel and directly west from the north side of the channel entrance. On the attached map, set up right about where the end of the arrow is on the north side of the channel.

Nightcrawlers or minnows would be your best bet for bait. But you may get some action on small plastics if there are any wipers or crappies moving in.

Thanks Albino and TD. What if I took my boat with me? I was thinking that might be a hassle with a bunch of folks down there, but I might take it. That's obviously going to give me more options.

If I take my boat, where then?

And thanks again for the information guys. This board is priceless.
