Snuck out of work early today and fished Strawberry. Theme of the night was wind, wind and wind. Fished at Haws Point for a little bit but the wind was beating me to death there, decided to cruise around the lake. Stopped at Renegade, fished for a little while there but again the wind and the fish weren't biting. Ended up cruising over to the Soldier Creek side around 6pm, caught 5 over there using spinners (vibrax, crocodiles and panther martins). One slot cutt and the rest small bows but nothing to really brag about.
As other reports have said, Soldier creek is pretty well completely ice off. Strawberry side has open water pretty much everywhere, places that still have ice are usually pulled away from the shore for the most part.
